Shadow Lake

Time:

0-2 hours

A little network that is not well known in the Whistler Area, these trails take hikers around Shadow Lake and along the Soo River through an interpretive forest dotted with information on forestry and environment. Very easy both technically and physically as the trails are wide and fairly flat.

Access:

There are two entrances and parking areas.

Driving north from Whistler on Highway 99 the first entrance starts on the Soo Valley Forest Service Road (on your left), which branches off of Highway 99 at a long straight descent, the second parking lot is a few hundred meters after crossing the railroad tracks (the first crossing north of Whistler) on the right. This second entrance is easy to miss, it is a small lot adjacent the highway and separated from it by a number of cement barriers.
