
Elfin Lakes Trail

*note this trail is open to bicycles as well.
Tucked into Garibaldi Provincial Park this trail takes hikers up into some spectacular alpine scenery. The first few kilometers take hikers up to the tree line and to a small shelter for day use. From here a rolling alpine hike starts climbing slowly further above the treeline. Elfin Lakes is 11km in and features a lake for swimming and a cabin for day use and overnight stays (with reservations). Trails branch out further from here. This trails length is its primary source of difficutly as the round trip is a considerable distance.

Access:
The trail is in Garibald Provincial Park in the Diamond Head area, turn west onto Mamquam road and follow the signs to Garbaldi Park, the trailhead is almost a vertical kilometer up. Pay parking is required.
