Cheakamus Lake Trail
Up to 16km round trip.
*note this trail is open to bicycles as well.
Located on the backside of Whistler Mountain this trail takes hikers along what mightbe one of the flattest trails in the corridor. Descending gently from the parking lot hikers then traverse along the lake through spectacular forest scenery. A well built trail this is one of the region's most accessible and usable trails. The end point is a rough campsite but there is the main campsite is when hikers first reach the lake. Outhouses are present here.
Time Requirements:
1 - 5 hours
Access:
To reach the parking lot from Whistler Village drive south turning left at Function Junction (signs for Garibaldi Provincial Park are present). After turning left off the highway take the first road to the left (the first left is a parking lot adjacent the road). This dirt road takes you to the parking lot about 10km up.
Driving North into Whistler turn right at Function Junction (the first traffic light in Whistler) and then take the first left onto the dirt road.
